Vector Civil Engineering, LLC., a division of Concept Companies, is looking for a hands-on, solution-focused CAD Designer to plan and prepare preliminary layouts and detailed design drawings on a variety of project opportunities.
Your Role on the Team:
Design conceptual site layouts and construction plans for commercial developments.
Work with state and local municipalities as required to research Zoning requirements and Land Development Regulations for preliminary Due Diligence.
Research and obtain WMD, FDEP, FDOT, local, etc. codes and requirements and ensure compliance
What You Get to Do:
Initialize conceptual site layouts and construction plans for commercial developments in CAD based on regulations and requirements of governing agencies
Interact and communicate with project team to determine level of detail
Use all mechanical and computerized drafting tools and related software to plan the layout and design of project(s)
Join engineering design with architectural elements into the project
Work closely with Engineers and team members during the design and due diligence phase of project(s)
Coordinate with governing municipalities to prepare due diligence package for pre-application meetings
Skills and qualifications:
3+ years of practical experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D in civil engineering and/or land development projects
Ability to use all related mechanical and computerized drafting tools and related software.
Knowledge of design techniques and principles, engineering science and technology
Familiar with the language and terminologies used in this occupation
Excellent organization, verbal and written communication skills
The desire to work in a creative, collaborative, and entrepreneurial environment with the ability to work independently with little to no supervision
Ability to manage a wide variety of projects, with competing priorities, among cross-discipline teams in a fast-paced environment
Works well in group problem-solving situations
